Warm-Up: What Happens When Protection Disappears?

After Rome fell, Europe had less central control. People needed protection, food, and stability. Feudalism grew out of this need.

Activity 1: Build the Feudal Social Pyramid

Medieval society was organized like a pyramid. Use the Issue 10 reading to define each level and explain how each group depended on the others.
